Open Your Eyes: If not now, when? Mural

The idea for this mural explored the question,
How we can more deeply appreciate life and the people around us by simply looking up from our cell phones and engaging with the world?
Creating the Mural: A Story in Pictures
ABOUT
One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was the involvement of the entire school community in the mural’s creation. Students distributed pieces of tile and mirror to faculty and fellow students, inviting them to contribute to the mural. Additionally, we photographed the eyes of members of our school, which were then photo-transferred onto tiles to be integrated into the artwork.
The overarching goal of this project—like all of my murals—is to foster a sense of inclusivity and cultivate a strong, unified community.
